Próximamente pondrá a circular los tomos V las características económicas, VI la migración, la fecundidad y la mortalidad y VII características del entorno de la vivienda y el hogar.

La población con alguna discapacidad en la República Dominicana asciende a 1,160,847 personas,lo cual representa el 12.3% de la población del país.

De acuerdo al Volumen IV del IX Censo Nacional de Población y Vivienda 2010, el total de la población dominicana que asiste a la escuela es de 3,353,345.

El Consorcio Sinergit Active Software entregó el 22 de diciembre del 2011 la base de datos completa del IX Censo Nacional de Población y Vivienda 2010 llevado a cabo en diciembre de 2010. Esta empresa fue la que realizó la lectura óptica de las informaciones contenidas en las boletas censales.

Las operaciones de captura de los datos recogidos en las boletas censales culminarán en tres semanas. La siguiente etapa de depuración de la base de datos concluirá con la publicación de los datos censales definitivos, de acuerdo a lo programado, en el último trimestre de 2011

• El informe de datos preliminares da cuenta de una población de 9, 378,818 a nivel nacional, diseminada en las 31 provincias y el Distrito Nacional que conforman el país
• El licenciado Pablo Tactuk expresó que con este informe la ONE responde al compromiso asumido de ofrecer a la ciudadanía los primeros resultados del censo en un tiempo corto.

Con el objetivo y compromiso asumido de transparencia ante la población dominicana, la Oficina Nacional de Estadística (ONE) reitera las informaciones sobre el procedimiento formal para completar los pagos pendientes de los trabajadores censales a los cuales el banco no ha podido abrir cuentas debido a discrepancias relacionadas con sus nombres y números de cédula.

La Oficina Nacional de Estadística (ONE) continuó hoy viernes 24 de diciembre con el pago, correspondiente a las provincias de María Trinidad Sánchez, Duarte 2, Santiago 2, Santo Domingo Norte 1 y Santo Domingo Norte 2, La Romana, Pedernales, El Seibo y Boca Chica haciendo un total de 27 provincias de las 48 provincias censales en las que se dividió el país para los fines del operativo en terreno.
